Someone sent me a link to the North East Digital Awards website and said we should enter. So I took a look and thought why not, indeed?

The awards are set up to help recognise digital achievements in all sorts of areas as well as being a good bit of pr for North East England. So, with an office in Middlesbrough and some trade space in Stokesley I knew we fit the criteria and thought might as well give it a bash and write about the humble beginnings of Boutique To You. We have entered into the best e-commerce section.At the last count there were about 18 entrants including us and only 9 days to go from today!

We have made a lot of changes to our site recently - mainly to make your shopping experience even better and to make products more easily to find.We have gone back to our original concept from when we first dreamed up the idea of Boutique To You back in late 2005 and that is one of lots of different boutiques under one roof - a bit like� concessions and corners of a well known branded department store. The only difference is we bring it all to you instead of you having to trudge somewhere to find it. In fact you wouldn’t find it because�I can’t think of any store anywhere near me ( North Yorkshire)that sells everything our boutique does. You just wouldn’t find it. You would have to visit lots of little individual gift stores and boutiques to even find a quarter of our gifts and how long would that take?�A lot of our gifts aren’t even in stores yet ! We source them before they’ve become well known or the big�guns have even found out about them !

Anyway I’ll be writing a bit about each boutique over the next week or so to give you an insight into what we are offering. People tell us one of the areas we excel at is Personalised Gifts so that is one of the first I’ll tell you all about soon ! Keep reading !

Daily Pick - ipods, mobile phones, MP3s and all are a way of life for most in the 21st century. Indeed some people feel lost without their ipod . I know this from personal experience as my 14 year old son was distraught when the battery ran out on his nano a few weeks ago !

How many odd socks do you have in your sock drawer?

I know we could make up a drawer all on it’s own just of odd socks in our house !

�We think these new range of mis -matched socks called just that ‘Oddsocks’ is a great idea. You need never worry again that you have on a pair of matched socks� .. they are not meant to match .. that’s the thing !

�I �especially like the Baby Odd Socks because I have lost many a baby sock in the pram, in the car and�I don’t know how many we lost just by them simply dropping off while my babies were �sat� with their feet dangling in their buggy �! Have you been there , too ?
